AN ACT CONCERNING BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SERVICES FOR YOUNG ADULTS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That chapter 319i of the general statutes be amended to establish a program to offer behavioral health services, including intervention, referral and support services, to young adults ages sixteen to twenty-six, inclusive, who are in need of such services.

Statement of Purpose: 

To establish a comprehensive system to provide intervention, referrals, resources, support services and coordinated care to young adults ages sixteen to twenty-six, inclusive, who are in need of such services as a result of a psychological or developmental challenge and to provide referral and support services to their parents or guardians.
