AN ACT REQUIRING THE POSTING OF STATE AND FEDERAL TAXES AT GASOLINE PUMPS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 16a-15 of the general statutes be amended to require the amount of state and federal taxes assessed and collected per gallon be posted at each pump or device from which gasoline is offered for sale to the public.
Statement of Purpose:
To give notice to the public of the amount of state and federal taxes contained in the cost of a gallon of gas.
