AN ACT ELIMINATING RISK REDUCTION CREDITS FOR CRIMINALS SENTENCED FOR VIOLENT CRIMES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 18-98e of the general statutes be amended to prohibit any person sentenced for a violent offense that is not currently excluded from the risk reduction credit program from earning risk reduction credit toward a reduction in such person's sentence.
Statement of Purpose:
To eliminate eligibility for risk reduction credit for violent offenders.
