AN ACT CONCERNING LIMITS ON PROPERTY TAX INCREASES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to provide that a municipality may not increase property taxes by more than three per cent annually except by referendum.
Statement of Purpose:
To require a referendum for any property tax increase above three per cent.
