AN ACT CONCERNING ACCESS TO THE MEDICAL RECORDS OF A DECEASED PERPETRATOR OF HOMICIDE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to establish a judicial process by which the next of kin of a homicide victim may petition the court for a limited release of certain medical and psychiatric records relating to a deceased perpetrator of the homicide.
Statement of Purpose:
To establish a judicial process that allows the next of kin of a homicide victim to seek limited access to the medical and psychiatric records of the deceased perpetrator of the homicide.
