AN ACT CONCERNING THE PRETRIAL COMMUNITY SERVICE LABOR PROGRAM.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That section 53a-39c of the general statutes be amended to provide that a person may participate in the pretrial community service labor program more than once without entering a guilty plea if such person has paid all program fees or had such fees waived, has satisfactorily completed the program each time such person has previously participated in the program, and has otherwise complied with all orders of the court.

Statement of Purpose: 

To permit a defendant to use the pretrial community service labor program multiple times if the defendant has previously complied with all program conditions.
