AN ACT CONCERNING STATE AGENCY RESPONSIBILITY WITH RESPECT TO FEDERAL CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECK INFORMATION.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to ensure that state agencies timely provide all data required for the completion of federal criminal background checks, including checks required for the sale or purchase of firearms, to the appropriate federal authorities.
Statement of Purpose:
To ensure that state agencies submit required information on a timely basis to federal authorities to ensure accurate federal criminal background checks.
