AN ACT AUTHORIZING BONDS OF THE STATE FOR THE VETERANS OF FOREIGN WARS POST 7790 BROOKLYN VALLEY POST.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the State Bond Commission be empowered to authorize the issuance of bonds of the state in accordance with section 3-20 of the general statutes, in principal amounts not exceeding in the aggregate forty thousand dollars, the proceeds of which shall be used by the Department of Veterans' Affairs for the purpose of funding the installation of a wheelchair lift at the Veterans of Foreign Wars post 7790 Brooklyn Valley post.
Statement of Purpose:
To allow disabled and elderly veterans who are wheelchair-bound to attend meetings and events at the Veterans of Foreign Wars post 7790 Brooklyn Valley post in Waterbury, Connecticut.
