AN ACT OVERTURNING THE SLOW, NO-WAKE ZONE ALONG THE CONNECTICUT RIVER IN THE EAST HARTFORD AND HARTFORD AREAS. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That the general statutes be amended to authorize the travel of vessels that are twenty-two feet in length or smaller to travel at faster than the slow, no-wake zone limits along the Connecticut River in the areas of the Railroad Bridge at East Hartford to Navigational Aid number 143 to the south. To further overturn the regulation requiring vessels to stay away from any pier, which is interpreted to include bridge abutments. Statement of Purpose: To allow smaller boat owners greater pleasure and ease of access along certain portions of the Connecticut River.
