2121 AN ACT HOLDING HARMLESS A PUBLIC OFFICIAL FROM THE CONSEQUENCES OF A STATE ADMINISTRATIVE ERROR.

2323 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

2525 That the general statutes be amended to provide that if an administrative error of the office of the Comptroller results in the failure of the state to pay the Social Security or Medicare contribution or payroll tax payments on behalf of an elected public official, the state shall hold harmless such official and shall pay the amount due, including any penalty or interest, on such official's behalf.
