AN ACT CONCERNING THE PURCHASE OF A RIFLE OR SHOTGUN.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to (1) require an individual to obtain a state-issued permit in order to purchase a rifle or shotgun, and (2) provide that such permit be issued under the same standards as those set forth for obtaining a permit to carry a pistol or revolver.
Statement of Purpose:
To require an individual to obtain a state-issued permit in order to purchase a rifle or shotgun.
