AN ACT CONCERNING THE ENFORCEMENT OF THE PROHIBITION AGAINST SMOKING ON RAILROAD PLATFORMS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to authorize agents of the Metropolitan Transportation Authority to enforce the prohibition against smoking on any Metro North Railroad platform in Connecticut and to install signs indicating on any such platform that smoking is prohibited.
Statement of Purpose:
To enforce the prohibition against smoking on certain railroad platforms in the interest of public health.
