AN ACT PROHIBITING THE AWARD OF RISK REDUCTION CREDIT FOR ANY INMATE SENTENCED FOR A SEXUAL OFFENSE AGAINST A MINOR.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 18-98e of the general statutes be amended to prohibit any inmate convicted of a criminal offense against a victim who is a minor, as defined in section 54-250 of the general statutes, from earning or receiving risk reduction credit toward a reduction in sentence for such offense.
Statement of Purpose:
To prohibit any inmate convicted of a sexual offense against a minor from earning or receiving risk reduction credit toward a reduction in sentence for such offense.
