AN ACT CONCERNING OWNER-OPERATORS OF COMMERCIAL MOTOR VEHICLES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to establish criteria where certain owner-operators of commercial motor vehicles are classified as independent contractors when operating a single motor carrier for the purpose of transporting property for hire.
Statement of Purpose:
To establish criteria where owner-operators of commercial motor vehicles would be classified as independent contractors when transporting property for hire.
