AN ACT ESTABLISHING AN AGE RESTRICTION ON THE PURCHASE OF LONG GUNS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 29-37a of the general statutes, concerning the sale or delivery of firearms other than pistols and revolvers, be amended to provide that no person under the age of eighteen may purchase such a firearm, regardless of whether such purchase occurs at retail.
Statement of Purpose:
To ensure that rifles and shotguns are not purchased by minors.
