AN ACT CONCERNING THE EXCHANGE OF PARCELS OF LAND BETWEEN THE CITY OF NEW BRITAIN AND THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the Department of Transportation convey 15.5 acres of land located in the town of Newington and adjacent to Route 9 to the city of New Britain in exchange for the conveyance of sixty-eight acres of land to the Department of Transportation and an agreement by the city to permanently protect and preserve an additional forty-five acres of land.
Statement of Purpose:
To provide for the conveyance of vacant state-owned land to the city of New Britain to facilitate economic development and the creation of jobs in the city.
