2423 AN ACT CONCERNING ACTIONS AGAINST SCHOOL SECURITY CONSULTANTS.

2625 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

28-Section 1. (NEW) (Effective October 1, 2013) Any person who is hired by a local or regional board of education, state charter school or regional educational service center as a school security consultant and who designs a security plan for a school or the school district shall be immune from civil liability for damage or injury occurring on or after October 1, 2013, resulting from any act, error or omission by such person with respect to the design of such school security plan or school district security plan, unless such damage or injury was caused by the reckless, wilful or wanton misconduct of such person.
