2626 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

2828 Section 1. (Effective October 1, 2013) The Office of Workforce Competitiveness shall study issues concerning the biomedical industry, including, but not limited to, biomedical device manufacturing, in this state and how best to meet said industry's workforce needs. Not later than January 1, 2014, the Office of Workforce Competitiveness shall report on such study, in accordance with the provisions of section 11-4a of the general statutes, to the joint standing committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to higher education and employment advancement.
