AN ACT REQUIRING AN ANNUAL REPORT CONCERNING THE TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER ACTIVITIES OF THE UNIVERSITY OF CONNECTICUT.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
Section 1. (NEW) (Effective July 1, 2013) Not later than December 31, 2013, and annually thereafter, The University of Connecticut shall report, in accordance with the provisions of section 11-4a of the general statutes, to the joint standing committees of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to commerce and higher education on the technology transfer activities of the university and its faculty, including, but not limited to, (1) a list of the patents held by the university or faculty members, (2) descriptions of any patents awarded to the university or faculty members in the preceding twelve months, and (3) a list and descriptions of businesses (A) in which the university has made an equity investment, (B) that license technology from the university or faculty members, and (C) that have been founded by the university or a faculty member.
This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections:
