AN ACT CONCERNING A MORATORIUM ON THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE COMMON CORE STATE STANDARDS. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That title 10 of the general statutes be amended to (1) delay the implementation of the common core state standards, (2) require the Department of Education to conduct an investigation on the impact of implementing such standards on school districts in the state, and (3) prevent the department from spending any money appropriated to it from the General Fund to implement such standards until after the results of such investigation have been submitted to and reviewed by the General Assembly. Statement of Purpose: To delay the implementation of the common core state standards in the state.
