AN ACT REQUIRING A PRIORITY IN THE CAPITAL BUDGET FOR INFRASTRUCTURE IMPROVEMENTS TO THE NEW HAVEN LINE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require the Finance, Revenue and Bonding Committee to develop criteria to follow for all future bond authorizations that shall place infrastructure improvements on the New Haven Line and its branches as the top priority among public transportation projects.
Statement of Purpose:
To make commuter railroad improvements the top priority among public transportation projects.
