AN ACT CONCERNING A DEFINITION OF AND GUIDELINES FOR ALTERNATIVE SCHOOL PROGRAMS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
Section 1. (Effective from passage) Not later than January 1, 2015, the Department of Education, in consultation with the Connecticut Association of Alternative Schools and Programs, shall submit a proposal for guidelines for the operation of alternative school programs offered by local and regional boards of education to the joint standing committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to education, in accordance with the provisions of section 11-4a of the general statutes. Such proposed guidelines shall include a definition of "alternative school program".
This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections:
