AN ACT CONCERNING ADDITIONAL PAYMENTS TO REDUCE CAPITAL INDEBTEDNESS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to provide that the amount equal to any lapse in the debt service item in the budget be directed to make additional payments on any outstanding bonded indebtedness.
Statement of Purpose:
To create savings in state long-term debt by directing that funds that would otherwise lapse be used to reduce outstanding indebtedness.
