AN ACT AUTHORIZING OVERSIGHT OVER NONEDUCATIONAL EXPENSES IN SCHOOL BUDGETS BY MUNICIPAL BOARDS OF FINANCE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That, notwithstanding any provision of the general statutes or any special act, municipal charter, home rule ordinance or other ordinance, the general statutes be amended to authorize the board of finance in each municipality having a board of finance to have greater oversight and control over the noneducational expenses set forth in the local board of education's budget.
Statement of Purpose:
To give municipalities oversight and control over noneducational expenses in education budgets.
