AN ACT PERMITTING THE POSTING OF LEGAL NOTICES ON MUNICIPAL WEB SITES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 1-2 of the general statutes be amended to provide that any provision of the general statutes, the special acts or the charter of any municipality that requires the insertion of an advertisement of a legal notice in a daily newspaper shall be construed to allow such notice to be posted on the Internet web site of the municipality.
Statement of Purpose:
To allow municipalities to post legal notices and meeting minutes on their Internet web site rather than in a newspaper.
