AN ACT CONCERNING CONSECUTIVE WORKDAYS AND HOLIDAY PAY.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to require employers to pay employees at a rate of pay not less than one and one half times their regular rate of pay when such employees are required to work more than five consecutive days in a seven-day period or required to work on Sundays or federally recognized holidays.

Statement of Purpose: 

To require employers to pay an employee an overtime wage when such employee is required to work more than five consecutive days in a seven-day period or required to work on Sundays or federally recognized holidays.
