AN ACT CAPPING THE FIXED CUSTOMER CHARGE FOR THE RESIDENTIAL CUSTOMERS OF ELECTRIC DISTRIBUTION COMPANIES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That title 16 of the general statutes be amended to cap electric distribution companies' residential fixed customer charge at no more than fifteen dollars per billing cycle, and when necessary, adjusted for inflation.

Statement of Purpose: 

To cap electric distribution companies' residential fixed customer charge.
