AN ACT INCREASING CHILD SUPPORT AND CONCERNING CRIMINALIZATION OF FAILURE TO PAY SUCH SUPPORT.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That sections 46b-84 and 46b-171 of the general statutes be amended to increase the proportion of child support that shall be paid and to criminalize failure to pay child support.
Statement of Purpose:
To provide adequate financial support for children and to make failure to pay child support a crime.
