AN ACT CONCERNING FRAUDULENT CLAIMS FOR STATE ASSISTANCE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That title 4 of the general statutes be amended to broaden the scope of provisions prohibiting false claims for public assistance to include, but not be limited to, (1) unemployment compensation, (2) housing assistance, (3) the earned income tax credit, (4) energy assistance, (5) food assistance, and (6) cash assistance.
Statement of Purpose:
To protect the state against false claims for state assistance.
