AN ACT CONCERNING THE NOTIFICATION OF STUDENT DATA COLLECTION.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 170 of the general statutes be amended to require local and regional boards of education to provide notice at the beginning of each school year to the parents and guardians of students about which student information and data will be collected and shared with third parties.
Statement of Purpose:
To protect the privacy rights of students regarding student data.
