AN ACT REQUIRING PUBLIC HEARINGS PRIOR TO APPROVAL OF PROPOSED STATE AGENCY HOUSING FACILITIES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 59 of the general statutes be amended to require that when a state agency proposes a site for a housing facility, such state agency shall conduct a public hearing on the proposal and shall provide notice of such hearing to the municipality in which the site is located.
Statement of Purpose:
To require state agencies to conduct public hearings on proposals for housing facilities.
