AN ACT CONCERNING RELOCATION EXPENSES OF DISPLACED TENANTS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 8-268 of the general statutes be amended to exempt municipalities from payment of displacement expenses if such displacement is caused by unsafe or hazardous conditions arising from a natural disaster.
Statement of Purpose:
To eliminate the burden on municipalities and taxpayers to pay for relocation expenses of tenants who are displaced due to a natural disaster.
