AN ACT REQUIRING HEALTH INSURANCE COVERAGE FOR FERTILITY PRESERVATION FOR INSUREDS DIAGNOSED WITH CANCER.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That chapter 700c of the general statutes be amended to require health insurance coverage for fertility preservation for insureds diagnosed with cancer, whose physicians have determined that the appropriate medical treatments for such cancers have a substantial chance of resulting in the insureds' infertility.

Statement of Purpose: 

To require health insurance coverage for fertility preservation for insureds diagnosed with cancer.
