AN ACT INCREASING EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS FOR MUNICIPAL AND STATE POLICE OFFICERS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That sections 7-294d and 29-3a of the general statutes be amended to require municipal and state police officers to obtain an associate degree not later than the date five years after the date on which such officers are sworn in.
Statement of Purpose:
To develop more highly educated municipal and state police forces.
