AN ACT EXCLUDING CERTAIN HOSPITAL FACILITIES AND INSTITUTIONS OF HIGHER LEARNING FROM THE PAYMENT IN LIEU OF TAXES GRANT PROGRAMS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That title 12 of the general statutes be amended to exempt certain hospital facilities and institutions of higher learning from the payment in lieu of taxes grant programs in order to allow municipalities to directly collect property tax from such facilities and institutions.
Statement of Purpose:
To exempt certain hospital facilities and institutions of higher learning from the payment in lieu of taxes grant programs in order to allow municipalities to directly collect property tax from such facilities and institutions.
