AN ACT CONCERNING ELIGIBILITY FOR UNEMPLOYMENT BENEFITS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to require individuals receiving unemployment benefits to appear at an unemployment office not less than once per month to maintain their eligibility for such benefits.

Statement of Purpose: 

To reduce fraudulent overpayment of unemployment benefits to individuals who receive benefits despite being employed.
