2626 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

2828 That section 53-341a of the general statutes be amended to require that any person, firm or corporation selling or offering to sell a badge or shield that identifies the wearer as holding a specific office, title or position with a federal, state or local entity or agency must obtain from the purchaser a letter signed by the head of the federal, state or local government entity or agency encompassing the office, title or position of such person before completing the sale.
