AN ACT INCREASING THE FINES FOR DRIVING WHILE USING A MOBILE ELECTRONIC DEVICE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 14-296aa of the general statutes be amended to add one hundred dollars to each fine for using a mobile telephone or mobile electronic device while driving.
Statement of Purpose:
To increase fines for using a hand-held cellular telephone or mobile electronic device while driving.
