AN ACT INCREASING FUNDING FOR NUTRITION FOR ELDERLY PERSONS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 17b-343 of the general statutes be amended to require the Commissioner of Social Services to increase the fee schedule for home-delivered meals under the Connecticut home-care program for the elderly to cover reasonable costs of providers and minimize any copayments by participants and that the sum of ____ dollars be appropriated to the Department on Aging, from the General Fund, for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2015, for the elderly nutrition program administered pursuant to section 17b-422 of the general statutes.
Statement of Purpose:
To ensure that vulnerable senior citizens receive adequate nutrition.
