AN ACT AUTHORIZING BOARDS OF EDUCATION TO ADOPT POLICIES REGARDING THE KIND OF INFORMATION STUDENTS CAN ACCESS AT SCHOOL. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That section 10-221 of the general statutes be amended to permit local and regional boards of education have the authority to make the decision whether or not to control the kind of information a student can access on the Internet or through the use of interactive and digital technologies through the use of electronic or mobile devices owned or leased by such board of education. Statement of Purpose: To provide boards of education with the authority to control the kind of information that students can access on electronic and mobile devices while at school.
