AN ACT CONCERNING THE CONFINEMENT OF SOWS DURING GESTATION.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to ban the use of gestation crates for sows in Connecticut.
Statement of Purpose:
To support small farms and discourage confined-animal farming operations.
