AN ACT CONCERNING MILLWRIGHT WORK.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That chapter 393 of the general statutes be amended to clarify the meaning of the term "millwright work" and the scope of work performed under a millwright contractor license, establish a millwright work board and require the Commissioner of Consumer Protection to adopt regulations that would establish the amount and type of experience, training, continuing education and examination requirements to obtain such a license.

Statement of Purpose:

To protect workers and costly equipment, ensure qualified workers perform precision work and set qualifications and enforcement standards related to millwright work.
