AN ACT CONCERNING CREDIT AND DEBIT CARD CHARGES FOR GASOLINE PURCHASES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to place a limit on the amount of credit card charges a retail gasoline seller may charge per gallon and to require that gasoline debit card payments be processed the same as cash transactions.

Statement of Purpose: 

To protect consumers who purchase gasoline from unfair credit and debit card charges.
