The workforce skills training program shall consist of (1) an education component that teaches adults the basic skills necessary to succeed in the workplace, and (2) an internship component that places the participant with an employer that provides hands-on training in an occupation assessed by said office pursuant to section 4-124w of the general statutes as having a forecasted workforce shortage. |
