AN ACT CONCERNING AFFORDABLE HOUSING FOR SENIORS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That subdivision (4) of subsection (k) of section 8-30g of the general statutes be amended to allow municipalities to qualify for one housing unit-equivalent point for creating affordable housing opportunities dedicated to elderly units restricted to persons and families whose income is less than or equal to eighty per cent of the median income.
Statement of Purpose:
To increase affordable housing for senior citizens by allowing for certain senior housing units to be allocated one housing unit-equivalent point toward the issuance of a certificate of affordable housing project completion.
