AN ACT CONCERNING A STUDY OF MEDICAID HOME HEALTH RATES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 17b-242 of the general statutes be amended to require the Commissioner of Social Services to undertake a study to explore and implement a full restructuring of Medicaid reimbursement to home health care agencies to an acuity-based rate structure to support the state rebalancing plan and the Money Follows the Person program efforts to deinstitutionalize residents who are capable of receiving care in a community setting.
Statement of Purpose:
To ensure that Medicaid rates are adequate to provide access to home health services.
