Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That the general statutes be amended to preclude agencies from using the methodology of extrapolation when conducting audits of state-funded entities unless there is a sustained or high level of payment error or evidence of fraud. Statement of Purpose: To prevent agencies from imposing exorbitant penalties on businesses for clerical errors.
