(NEW) (Effective July 1, 2015) (a) For purposes of this section, (1) "electronic benefit transfer (EBT) card" means a card provided by the Department of Social Services to recipients of public assistance and state-administered child support benefits that allows electronic access to public assistance and state-administered child support benefits; and (2) "public assistance" means temporary family assistance, state-administered general assistance, state supplemental assistance and the supplemental nutrition assistance program, as said programs are administered pursuant to chapter 319s of the general statutes, and refugee assistance, administered pursuant to the Refugee Act of 1980. | |
