AN ACT CONCERNING PARDONS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That part III of chapter 961 of the general statutes be amended to provide that any person who has successfully completed his or her period of parole for any conviction concerning illegal possession of drugs, narcotics or controlled substances and has not been convicted of a subsequent crime for a period of five years shall be entitled to a pardon upon request from the Board of Pardons and Paroles. 

Statement of Purpose: 

To grant a pardon upon request of any person who has successfully completed his or her period of parole for any conviction concerning illegal possession of drugs, narcotics or controlled substances and has not been convicted of a subsequent crime for a period of five years.
