AN ACT CONCERNING UNEMPLOYMENT COMPENSATION REFORM.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That chapter 567 of the general statutes be amended to: (1) Require unemployment benefits claimants to wait one week before receiving such benefits; (2) increase the base period wages enabling an individual to be eligible for such benefits to a minimum of two thousand dollars; (3) require such claimants to post their resumes online for at least six weeks as a condition for receiving such benefits; (4) base such benefits on an employee's annual salary rather than the two highest quarters; and (5) freeze the maximum weekly benefit rate for three years.

Statement of Purpose: 

To reform the unemployment compensation system in the state.
